Billing Options & Conditions 

Health Hub Mackay operates as a private billing practice, with payment required at the time of consultation. We accept cash, cheque, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard (cash out facilities are unavailable). Standard consults are $85.00 and longer and prolonged consults attract higher fees. Pension or concession cardholders are charged $85.00 for standard consultations and $170.00 for long consultations.

Please note, we are not a bulk billing site. However, selected doctors bulk bill children 12 years and under. For Saturday appointments, bulk billing is not available, and weekend rates apply. Additional fees may be charged for prolonged consultations, procedures, medicals, investigations or certain vaccinations.

Telehealth appointments are available if you’ve had an in-surgery consultation within the past 12 months, with fees varying depending on the doctor’s discretion. A Medicare rebateable fee is $95.00 with a $42.85 rebate. If no in-surgery appointment has occurred in the last year, a non-rebateable fee of $95.00 applies. Veteran Affairs patients are billed directly through Veteran Affairs.
