Dr Tamanna Tasrin – MBBS

Dr Tamanna Tasrin finished her MBBS from Bangladesh in 2013 from a tertiary medical university. She worked as a lecturer in a medical university and simultaneously worked as a resident in a private hospital before moving to Australia in 2016. She has experience working as a tutor at James Cook University in the clinical skills department. Dr Tamanna has lived in Mackay since 2020 and has worked at Health Hub Mackay for the same duration.


Dr Tamanna's special interests are in women's health, child and adolescent health, chronic diseases management and mental health. She believes in continuity of care and maintaining a good professional relationship with patients.

Dr Irine Ferdose

Dr Irine Ferdose obtained her MBBS from Bangladesh in 2010 from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has completed a Diploma in Child Health in 2015. Before working at Mackay Base Hospital from Mid 2020, she worked in Launceston General Hospital. She has special interest in family medicine, women's and children's health, and chronic disease management.

Dr Htike Aung

Dr Htike Aung (MBBS, FRACGP, Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine) completed her medical degrees at the University of Medicine in Myanmar in 2009. She worked across hospitals and general practices in Myanmar before relocating to Australia several years ago to practice in Western Australia, Victoria and now Queensland.


An experienced skin cancer doctor with postgraduate qualifications in the field, Dr Aung’s special interest in skin has seen her dedicate her practice to the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of skin cancer and related skin conditions.


She strives to detect and treat skin cancers as early as possible to reduce disease mortality and improve patients' quality of life. Dr Aung looks forward to providing you with prompt and effective care to keep your skin healthy and safe.

Dr Janitha Illangakoon - MBBS

Dr Janitha received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka in 2005 and moved to Australia with her family in 2018. Dr Janitha has been at Health Hub Mackay since 2020. She has a large interest in women’s health and paediatrics. She is a very busy mother of three beautiful children and continues to study and keep up to date with medical procedures.

Dr Graeme Cumming - B.Med., FRACGP

In 1999, Dr Cumming studied and obtained his Bachelor of Medicine (B.Med) at the University of Newcastle, NSW, at which time he was also an active member of the Rural Health Club, representing the student body at conferences throughout remote areas of Australia.


Ipswich Hospital was the initial training ground for Dr Cumming up until 2002, when his training continued as a Senior House Officer at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. He completed his final stages of training as a GP Registrar in 2005, working in Gladstone, where he successfully obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and recognition as a Specialist General Practitioner, whilst also acting as an Occupational Physician for a local smelter company. He relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 2006, eventually moving to Mackay in 2007.


Dr Cumming has been an integral part of Mackay Health Hub since joining us, notably taking on the role of Lead GP Supervisor whilst maintaining extensive roles in the wider Mackay community, both generally and in health care. Dr Cumming is passionate about chronic disease management and has that special touch with the elderly.


During his scarce downtime, Dr Cumming is a keen lover of spearfishing, free diving and sea kayaking. He is renowned for his obsession with the Queensland Maroons and North Queensland Cowboys and his jovial yet constant torment of any Blues supporters.

Dr John Goldston

Dr John Goldston has been working in the field of cosmetic medicine since 1985. His interest in skin management and skin cancer management is lifelong with 30 years' experience and a wonderful reputation. Dr John Goldston is a member of the Australian College of Cosmetic Physicians and a Registered Specialist General Practitioner, majoring in skin cancer management. He has pioneered many of the techniques introduced into the Mackay and Whitsunday Region with his cosmetic treatments.

Dr Roshan Kulathunga - MBBS, AMC, FRACGP

Dr Roshan obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Sri Lanka in 2000 from the University of Peradeniya. In 2011, he came to Australia and worked in Hervey Bay and Maryborough hospital in mental health, rehabilitation, gynaecology, obstetrics, surgery, psychiatry and emergency medicine.


Dr Roshan has been a GP doctor in service at Health Hub Mackay since 2018. He and his family are active within the local community.
